Competition

Together with Mette Hess and Thomas Puggaard Verner Panton participated in the architertural competition for the Museum for Modern Art at the lido of Ishoj near Copenhagen. The design provided for a complex of buildings with a square layout formed of four structures which in turn refer to the square. Two of these structures contain the exhibition rooms, which are brightly lit by roof lights. The two angle-shaped structures are intended as storage or administration buildings. The colourful facades with their large, simple geometric shapes form an important element of this design, which was never actually implemented.
