Verner Panton – Official

Pantonova

Jahr: 1971

In 1971, Verner Panton designed the modular wire Pantonova seating system for the now legendary Danish restaurant, Varna: the epitome of the 70s vibe, with its lavish,
experimental shapes and vibrant colours. The Pantonova sofa gained further notoriety as
the seat of choice of evil shipping tycoon Karl Stromberg in the 1977 James Bond movie,
The Spy Who Loved Me.

The Pantonova seating system consists of three distinct seating modules: Linear, Concave and
Convex. The modules can be used alone as sculptural, iconic chairs – or freely combined and arranged into various organically shaped seating formations, such as a circle, a half-circle, a wave, or an S-shape.

Material:

Cushions: available in leather in Brandy and Black, in velvet in Aubergine, Camel and Sky as
well as in textured fabric in Black, Sand and Shell from Kvadrat.
