VP's 1st chair 1955
Verner Panton designed his first chair for a restaurant in Tivoli, Copenhagen, in 1955. Out of production since the 1970s, the chair was re-launched in 2003 and was awarded Bo Bedre's Classic Award.
Verner Panton's 1st chair is available in 10 colours, and can also be made in colours of the customer's choice for orders of at least 50 chairs.

It can also be used on the terrace or in the garden.The chair is produced with a frame of stainless, polished steel. The seat is woven with strings of polyurethane, reinforced with a nylon core. Verner Panton's 1st chair is hand-woven and each chair uses 85 metres of string. It takes a professional weaver approx. 1 ½ hours to plait one chair.
