Wire 1972

Wire
Wire lamp is a table lamp made of a cylindrical wire frame ending with a hemisphere. The upper part of the lamp is equipped with a hemispherical plastic screens that come in yellow, orange, white and brown. This lamp is just one of many that shows Verner Panton talent with colour. He was especially known for creating explosions of colour and people stood in long queues to see his designs. For example, he did a show where everything was orange, it was called the Orangery, and it described Verner Panton like crazy - especially in the Danish press. Wire lamp is a sign of yet another explosion.
